This is a mash-up (and fallout) that we weren’t expecting. Yesterday, Teen Mom‘s Jenelle Evans and 90 Day Fiance‘s Deavan Clegg announced their participation in a new podcast called Girl Sh**t, along with 18 other female influencers. Jenelle Evans is fired now, but she initially said she was a producer of the show. It didn’t take long for things to crash and burn. Apparently, many of the women involved were unaware of Jenelle’s controversial past. Once they got to talking, it was clear that Jenelle needed the boot.

90 Day Fiance reporter John Yates posted a YouTube video today and said, “Jenelle was let go from the podcast today, like, fired”.

So, we know Jenelle Evans is fired, but what does it have to do with Deavan? Earlier this week, the two had been posting photos on social media together as if they were old friends. I guess Deavan didn’t know who Jenelle was before this week.. Girl, have you been living under a rock??

Apparently, Deavan found out about some of the scandals Jenelle has been involved with – most notably, when her husband shot and killed their dog, Nugget, in 2019. Deavan and the other influencers went to the producers of the show to explain that they no longer wanted to be affiliated with Jenelle. The Ashley’s Reality Roundup reports that a man named Chris McNelly is behind the project.

Jenelle had been posting all about the podcast and promoting its premier party at a bowling alley in Chattanooga, Tennessee. She was supposed to be attending with her husband, David. Shortly before the event, the official Instagram for the podcast made this announcement:

“Deavan wasn’t aware of Jenelle’s backstory…she did not know about Jenelle’s past,” John Yates said. “When Deavan brought it up to the powers that be and voiced her concerns, as well as the other people on the podcast voiced their concerns about Jenelle’s checkered past, that was enough for Jenelle to get fired.”

Apparently, after being uninvited from the party, Jenelle showed up anyway (Naturally 🙄). She claimed that no one from the cast spoke to her except one girl. She was not even let in to the actual party in the private party room, but instead lingered outside in the general bowling alley area.

When asked about the situation, Jenelle posted an explanation to her Instagram story. “So there’s a lot of rumors I woke up to saying that Deavan got me fired from this thing, when I’m her producer,” she said. “I actually hand-chose Deavan to join the cast”. All of this is disputed, however, and fans noted that every mention of the Girl Sh**t podcast is now deleted from Jenelle’s social media.

If you were looking forward to hearing Deavan and Jenelle collaborate, it seems you are out of luck. For the rest of us, let’s all take a deep breath and be grateful that not all things come to fruition 🙏🏽.
